Tips and Tricks

Now that we have given you the questions, we would like to give you some tips as well. Consider it a little bonus for coming this far. Just knowing the questions isn’t enough for carrying a good conversation. You should know how to ask them too.

  • Do not go about asking these questions hastily. It may seem very mechanical and might put the person off.
  • Do not go into the conversation without preparation. Most of the times, the other person will ask you the same question back, make sure you have a good (and mostly honest) answer ready for when they do so.
  • Do not give your answer immediately. They will realize that you prepared it beforehand and will not trust you.
  • These questions are merely conversation starters; meant to start a conversation or breathe new life into it. Do not carry the entire conversation with these questions. Use them in a measured way and structure other follow-up questions around them.
  • Always judge the mood of the person you are talking too. If they act disinterested or defensive then your questions may not be working. Try asking them other, less invasive questions to lighten the mood.
  • Keep the conversation as fun and light-hearted as possible.
